A Chance to Serve... When we do what we do because of who we are and because we belong to Christ, we do it well. And, even though there are a few service or mission sorts of endeavors that we give to or provide for others on a regular or annual basis, one of our great strengths as this church is our ability put together and pull off projects of an as-needed or as-requested now basis. We respond opportunistically to opportunities presented to us.
The House (Not the Nightmare!)
on Elm Street
One of our members, making her weekly Meals-On-Wheels delivery, noticed that the porch at the home of one of her customers could use some work. After asking for volunteers on a Sunday morning, over 30 of our members showed up the next Saturday to repair, rebuild, and paint not only the porch, but the front of the house and a backyard shed!
This is a prime example of the kind of work we do best.
